Vijay Mulbagal is Group Executive & Head of Strategic Programmes, & Sustainability with Axis Bank Limited. He leads key strategic initiatives for the Bank which require long-term strategic foresight and near term thrust on execution and will include strategy, program management, Sparsh, execution excellence, ease of doing business, ESG, CSR and Sustainability.

Vijay’s experience spans over several leadership roles across Corporate Banking and Consulting over his 25+ year career. He has led several digital transformation-related interventions on the wholesale banking front redefining Customer Engagement, chaired steering committees on transformation projects and driven broad adoption of digital interventions across geographies to realize benefits, boost incomes and reduce costs. Prior to joining Axis Bank Limited, Vijay has had a long and distinguished career at HDFC Bank, with his most recent assignment being Group Head – Large Corporates & Supply Chain Finance.

Vijay has completed his Post Graduate Programme in Management from ISB Hyderabad.
